This is the most beautiful place I have ever been in North America. I was there in 2005, and this year I plan to return. I hope this year to make it to the Western Brook Pond Fjord, by foot.....

Coming there in August. Can't wait to see it in person. Just wanted to tell you though that you really need to edit this guestbook page. Don't expect to or need to see this sort of language. Or the scam e-mail you have on the site.

I went here for a vacation. My dad and his friend picked it since last time we went shopping in Maine. NO SHOPPING HERE! if you do end up at the park climb the actual gros mourne mountain. I was 12 when I climbed it and it was easy! easy peasy. But don't take the trail part up the mountain take it downwards and climb up the rocky part. It only took us 4 1/2 hours

HAVE FUN

Hello. I am in the US (Connecticut) and I have 2 weeks vacation in Mid-APril and I would like to come see Gros Morne. It is the only time off I have so I hope the weather is okay. I am learning photography and I heard Gros Morne (all of NFLD really) is fantastic! How is the weather in mid-April? Are motels and cabins open or do they close in the winter? I ask because there is little info on the web. I figure spending 1 week in Gros Morne and driving to St. Johns.

I saw on your homepage that an activity here was hunting. I am a little confused about that. Are tourists allowed to hunt in the park?

I'm staying in a hostel in Rocky Harbour now and I am seaching for someone who likes to do some hiking with me or likes to travel a bit around together.

Maybe we could rent a car together and do a trip to the northern peninsula. I'm also well equipped for tenting.

Please feel free to mail me, I check my e-mail at least daily.

We are planning a family trip to Gros Morne in July of 2008. We are trying to find a house or cabin that can accomodate 8 people. 3 couples and 2 individuals. We can't seem to find a place that has enough beds. We would all like to stay in the same home. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks.

LOST a 1GB SD chip full of pictures We just finished two weeks in "the New Founds Land" and WOW what a beautiful place, but lost half our photos; what a bummer.
Switched chips on the ascent of Gros Morne, our last hike in the region before moving on East, so if you hear/heard of someone finding such an item, we'd love to hear from you. If you're considering a trip, be preapred for all weather and enjoy the incredible eye candy.

My wife and I have just decided to do a driving trip down to Gros Morne at the beginning of August from Toronto. We'll likely only have a day or two in Gros Morne itself, and I was wondering if anyone has recommendations for which trail(s) are the best to do for day hikes, since we don't have the time to do multi-day treks.

Concerning Tracey's comments posted on Aug 26th 2006,you stated the Lady on duty taking care of Reservations etc. wasn't very friendly, I can understand why since I read your comments about no Grass around the Cabins, not by the water etc etc.why complain so much on this awesome public Site, about such a beautiful place?you were not the only only person checking for a Cabin!! you should have turned around and went back to your home in Central Newfoundland!! Complaints such as yours should be between you and whomever confirm your Reservations, not in a public forum!! I travelled to Florida and the Airline gave my seat to someone else, however I will not divulge what Airline and my Luggage was lost for 3 days....so these things happen!!! you do not have to act as a "Roy-Al", you are a Newfie like ourselves, it's wrong to write negative topics on such a beautiful Site....anyways I've been to Bonne Bay and Gros Morn Park, nothing can compare with the friendly people and these awesome views, great and an informative site, keep up the great work!!!

I grew up in Norris Point NFLD near gros morne. I,ve been home a few times since i,ve been in Toronto for 25 years. I miss it so very much. The city life is alot different than when I grew up ,the town of Norris Point is so beautiful , not like this city and the people here are so cold, not like back home , where the doors are always open and a good meal is always offered, and people like a good old chat not like Toronto where you are not even noticed. I married a man from NFLD he,s from Grands Falls, I took him home to my home town 2 years ago, he loved it .I hope and pray that someday we can go back someday to live. I have 4 children and they were all born in T.O. I took my two sons down with us when we went , my oldes son wanted to stay with my brother, and he hated to come back, he just thought it was great. Say hello to all my family back home and I Love You all.
