HI, we'd like to introduce ourselves . . . Meet Jenny, Kendra and Stan Parsons, owners of the Seaside Restaurant, Trout River and The Victorian Manor Heritage Properties, Woody Point. We have been in the food and accommodation sector of tourism for 25 years (this being a notable "Silver Anniversary" year).
We are local people who have found a passion for family heritage, food & cooking, along with our cultural heritage. We love to share who we are with other people . . . you, the traveler.

My husband, Stan, is a journeyman carpenter and a self-taught chef. Usually, you will find Stan, along with our other staff, in the kitchen at seaside preparing some of his favorite dishes of lobster, scallops and other seafood specialties. |
I, Jenny, am a physical education teacher at an all-grade school in Woody Point. I enjoy my summers moving from our accommodations to the dining room of Seaside Restaurant to meet as many of our guests as possible.
We reside in Woody Point with our daughter, Kendra, age 19, along with lots of family and friends. Kendra is presently enroled in post-seconary studies.
We have become internationally know, not only for the clientele that we serve, but by the fact that our businesses have been featured in many travel books, magazines, and newspapers throughout the world. Our main focus is on local fresh fish, local produce, as well as Newfoundland wines and spirits.
We are the proud recipients of a variety of awards . . . 1997 - Ambassador of Newfoundland & Labrador Hospitality, 2008 - Parks Canada's Sustainable Tourism Award, and most recent 2009 - Restaurant Hall of Fame.
